A small community of weavers belonging to the Surendranagar district of Gujarat has been instrumental in keeping alive the beautiful Tangaliya weave for more than 700 years now. This is a Dupatta with iconic bead-like designs handcrafted skilfully using the Tangaliya work on a traditional pit loom. These colourful bead designs are known as Daana work and the motifs used are inspired by nature.
To make this unique design get the recognition it deserves we have directly sourced this Tangaliya Dupatta from the local artisans and made it available online.
