The new novelty of the Hermes masculine fragrance line launched in February 2021 as Hermes H24. It is considered the first major launch for men in 15 years, after Terre d’hermes, which was created by Jean Claude Ellena in 2006.
Perfumer Christine Nagel, who loves to give her creations volume or texture, wanted to recreate textures of fine materials such as cashmere, silk, and velvet. The perfumer collaborated with the creative director of the men’s department of the house of Hermes, Veronique Nichanian, to create H24, a perfume inspired by the ready to wear collections and Nichanian’s opus.
The backbone of the composition is an aromatic, botanical, and slightly woody note of clary sage. Narcissus absolute, a strong and rigid note, blends with the essence of rosewood and synthetic molecule of sclarene. This unusual note rarely used in perfumes came to Nagel after she visited the tailoring workshops of Hermes. It is reminiscent of the warm and metallic steam and imitates applying damp cloths onto wool suits before pressing them with a heavy metal iron.
H24 fragrance samples available in 1ml, 3ml and 5ml sizes.
