Product Information

Estelle Eco Tweed DK is a wonderful yarn for use next to the skin – from sweaters and shawls, to classic accessories! Because the GOTS classes all shorn animal fibres as “wool” (which is also consistent with Canadian Government Textile Labelling Standards), we have to call it wool, but it’s actually 50% Wool, 25% Alpaca (which accounts for the luxurious softness of this yarn) and 25% Cellulosic Viscose (Lyocell.) A little-known fact is that many viscose fibres are toxic to the environment – the viscose in Eco Tweed DK is very different! Using the Lyocell process, this viscose is completely benign and free of any toxic chemicals!
