Seed beads are very small glass beads, also known as rocailles.

Seed beads are ideal for making jewellery, they are used for mostly bead weaving where there are endless possibilities of different weaving techniques. Seed beads can be used for bead embroidery and garment embellishment, and creating beaded kumihimo, and making stretchy bracelets on elasticity.

Size 11/0 seed beads are approx 1.5x 2mm.

Size 8/0 seed beads are approx 1.85 x 3mm.

These special beads are cut into a hexagon shape which creates a fantastic sparkle with the facets catching the light.
